For dancers ages 6 and older who are ready to take their technique to the stage.
What Performance Team Dancers Do
Train every week: one ballet class plus one more hour of classes in their Technique Training pathway.
Perform two group routines, each rehearsed for 30 minutes a week.
Attend two additional fall team rehearsals.
Compete at two regional competitions.
Perform in our Winter Showcase and our End-of-Year Trading Floor Showcase.
Is the Performance Team Right for Your Dancer?
The team is open to dancers ages 6 and older. Prior dance experience is recommended, and we encourage dancers to have at least two years of Technique Training first. Placement depends on audition results, choreography needs, and team balance.
How Auditions Work
Auditions are held each July, and families who register for the team attend them. Dates are announced in the spring.
Some dancers may be offered understudy positions. Understudies attend assigned rehearsals and learn the choreography.
Placement decisions are final, and we may adjust placements during the season. Please audition only for opportunities your dancer is ready to accept.
